APEL qualification
Yvonne Nolan and Maureen Smith, co-founders of Duo, are the team who developed the APEL Qualification for the Early Years and Playwork sectors, and are now able to offer expert training and support across the country.
The new qualification provides, at last, a way for mature staff to gain recognition of their skills and experience.
It offers a straightforward opportunity for experienced staff to demonstrate their understanding and can be completed in a matter of weeks rather than months or years (6-8 weeks in pilot programme).
One of the key requirements of the qualification is that the candidate has a mentor who has received training in how to support the qualification.
Duo is pleased to be able to offer training for mentors, which will include a detailed toolkit (value £150). See below for dates and locations.
