What is in the qualification?
The title of the qualification is: Level 3 Certificate in work with children.
There are two endorsements i.e. 'Early Years' or 'Playwork'. This reflects the different sets of values and principles of the two sectors, the different age ranges and types of settings.
Evidence for the early years endorsement should be drawn from work with children under 8 years although in some case the children's developmental rather than chronological age will be more appropriate. Playwork evidence may be drawn from work with children from 4-16 years as appropriate. Again in some cases the children's developmental rather than chronological age can be used.
